Notes on main ancestors
John my Great, Great, Great, Great Grand farther.
He produced 11 children in his first marriage to Sarah Berridge and two more in his second Marriage to Mary Barrett ,my Great, Great, Great, Great Grandmother. In the 1841 Census John was listed as a grazier living in Burton Overy Leicestershire. His age is given as 75. However, as the age of adults were rounded off to the nearest 5 years he could be between 73 and 78 which would indicate his birth year as 1774 & 1778. Unfortunately the 1841 census does not give the place of birth but it does indicate that he was not born in Leicestershire. Therefore, unfortunately, I have been unable to trace the tree back any further.
Maria, my Great, Great, Grandmother
Gave birth to two illegitimate sons. George Manfred and Harry. In the 1851 census she is listed as a Servant to Richard Wilson and his wife Hannah. In the 1861 Census she is listed as' formally servant' and living with second son Harry. Meanwhile, first son, George Manfred, My Great Granddad, is living his grand Aunt & Uncle Ann & Samuel Gamble. She married John Watts and had a couple of children with him and later, after John's demise, married Alfred Judd in 1878.
